The Ministry of the Interior (MUP) stated that at around 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, following the activation and ignition of pyrotechnic devices on the fifth floor of the faculty, a 25-year-old woman allegedly jumped from a window and died.
The head of the Stari Grad Police Station, Radenko Resanovic, said that police officers received the report at 10:40 p.m., after which they immediately arrived at the scene, where they found the woman showing no signs of life.
“According to initial information obtained from eyewitnesses, pyrotechnic devices were activated and ignited on the fifth floor of the Faculty of Philosophy, after which, as is suspected, a female person – most likely a student of the faculty – jumped through a window,” Resanovic said, according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.
As stated, the police were instructed to enter the Faculty of Philosophy building due to threats to public safety, life, physical integrity, health, and property, and to promptly examine all circumstances related to the incident.
